Moroccan wedding is primarily the official celebration and festive from a union. The Moroccan wedding however has some features that are its own.
The Khetba: It is simply engagement. In a Moroccan company attached to tradition, it is customary that this is the groom's father who come to ask the father of the bride hand of his daughter.
Following the engagement, the wedding itself lasts several days, although the trend is the shortening of the duration of the festivities.
Al Kaghet: This means "paper". An intimate ceremony with only close family is invited. The marriage certificate is officially sealed by a adoul (jurist and theologian). This is equivalent to a French civil marriage.
El Hanna: Or day henna. It precedes by a few days the marriage ceremony. This is a ritual in which the bride is tattooed hands and feet with henna. The tradition is that it brings prosperity and happiness to the bride and groom.
The ritual of hdiyya: It takes place in the evening of the day of henna, it is on this occasion that the groom and his family send their gifts to the bride. These are essential sugar, milk and eggs, which respectively symbolize the happy life, purity and fertility.
The wedding day: the Moroccan wedding  has two specificities. For one, the bride joins the party a few hours after it had begun. On the other hand, the bride puts on several dresses during the evening.
